about

After a long incubation period in the backwaters of the St Croix River, Jenny Dalton re-emerges with a new album entitled Black Water.

Inside the cocoon of a 140 year old house in Stillwater, Dalton's focus turned away from ambitions and towards introspection. There, the Black Water songs were written to bring closure to an era of extended adolescence marked with existential questioning, failed relationships, and soul searching via nature.

2013 seemed to foreshadow the swiftness of changes to come as she toured the country and played more shows than ever. 2014 rushed her out of stagnation and into a new era motherhood. With a baby girl due in September, Dalton moved back into the city and completed the Black Water project - bringing closure to the unripe era she left behind.

Jenny happily announces the birth of her daughter, Morgan Elizabeth, born on September 18th - just two weeks after her Black Water release show. The happy family is reveling in baby bliss. Morgan is growing quickly and loves going out to explore the world with her mom and dad.
